To me, AAU players are usually playing fromthe ages 3rd grade to 8th grade, and start playing around December and stop playing uaually after AAU NATIONALS. The summer ball players start in the 9th grade around May and play mainly in the summer. For me, playing from December to July is just too many games and no time to work on fundamentals. I'm seriously thinking of stopping my kids from playing (7th & 8th graders) this year and get back to the fundamentals.
